Nora from Knot Much of a Knitter was sweet enough to nominate me for the You Make My Day award that has been making the rounds. I’ve gone back and forth about which ten blogs from my blogroll of 177 I should nominate, and I realized this: I can’t make a choice. Each of these blogs makes me happy. Some for the fabu photography, some for the snark, some for the tutorials and creativity, some for the sheer prettiness, and some because they keep distant friends close. Like Cookie, I’m afraid of hurt feelings if I only choose ten. So, thank you, Nora, and thank you to the folks who subscribe to my little piece of the ether, and thank you to all of the bloggers who make my mornings so festive.
Yesterday was the start of Project Spectrum: Elements. My plan is to do some snapping of photos of favorite red, orange, and pink items around the house. I also plan to mess with paints a bit and to knit small goodies in the first element’s colors. Sewing, too. As soon as I get this draft into my advisor, my sewing machine (Sally) gets a turn on the desk.
Are you participating in PS? If so, what are your plans for Fire?

I’m spinning nothing but reds and oranges for Fire. I have 2oz of cashmere and 2oz of silk in orange that I plan to ply together (though we’ll see if I stick to that when it’s spun) and I’m working on a series of reds for my shop. I’m not normally a ‘red’ person, esp. since I’m quite firmly a water sign NO MATTER WHAT form of astrology you use…so it feels daring and exciting to do nothing but fiery colors. Even the sweater I want to start for myself (Bombshell, from Big Girl Knits) has a fiery name, AND I’m doing it in yellow. I notice I’ve been leaving the house with red and yellow scarves, too. It’s fun to see how PS can be incorporated in my life!
Hmmm, I haven’t really thought about what I’m doing for PS:E! Time to get inspired…
I was just thinking of you last night when I was watching Dr. Who. He went back in time and met Shakespeare.
