Our woods are getting littered with the early golden leaves that drift to the ground. Now and again I see a shot of red or orange, and those glowy colors will increase in the next few weeks.
Can you believe S.E. Hinton’s classic The Outsiders turns 40 this year?
Seriously? I LOVE that book/movie.
The Outsiders is turning 40? Wow…
Oh, I love that poem (from the title). This time of year also brings to mind “The Road not Taken” – another favorite.
Great picture. Forty, eh? Amazing how the classics are so timeless.
Even in the heat of Nashville, the leaves are changing colors. I love this time of year!
Ah, I loves me some good aliteration. Always brings a smile. I also enjoy how the classic turning 40 almost seems an afterthought. 🙂
I believe it.
Remember when Matt Dillon was a hallow chested boy? He’s playing the dad roles now. I feel so old…
Hollow even.
Jeez…
Oooh . . . you missed to chance to use “Stay golden, Ponyboy” as your post title. Love that book, but our school removed it from the allowable novels because they say it promotes gang violence, which I guess it doew in a Jets vs. Sharks kinda way.
