C is for…

Img_0798 Cherries.

I discovered I like them just last year.  I’m that way with food.  I say I don’t like something, but it’s usually because I’ve never tried it.  The whole pit thing was the turn off for cherries.  Tomatoes were also on my no-eats list, but the first time I tried a sun-ripened tomato, I kicked myself.  My dad used to eat them off the vine like apples, and now I understand why.

I’ve decided to delay the contest one more day.  I bet you can imagine what I’m going to say "D" is for.

  1. My boyfriend says the same thing, so now I make him try something and if he doesn’t like it fair enough, but he has to try. so far there’s only two things I can think of he truely doesn’t like houmus and smoothies.

  2. I never have liked cherry flavored candy, so i assumed I wouldn’t like cherries either, I don’t really know when I figured it out, but I’ve eaten about 20lbs this season. Really, I buy a 3 lb bag every time I go to the store.

  3. I’m the same way! I’ve always hated cherries, but recently, I coworker offered me some. They were delicious and now I buy them every time I’m at the grocery. I’m glad they don’t have them in the walk-in at work or I’d be fired.
Oh, and vine-ripened tomatoes are even better with a little sprinkle of sea salt. Or smoked sea salt. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  4. Isn’t it weird the foods that slipy by us for whatever reason?
There are some varieties of cherry tomato that are very sweet, btw. No, I don’t eat them, but I used to grow them. ;^)
