Happy Socktober! My goals:
1. Finish Jaywalker #2 (for real).
2. Knit Neal’s Christmas ’05 socks.
I recognize that this may be asking a lot of myself since I’m also working to finish Clapotis before October 21st, but in the spirit of fun, I’ll make a good attempt at it.
I’ve also joined the Twisted Knitters. I picked up the Twisted Sisters Sock Workbook last week and have been learning all about energized singles. Last Tuesday I had the second and final of my spindling classes at the library, so I feel pretty well equipped to take on this project. My goal: Dye, spin, and knit yarn into a pair of socks for me.
What are you other Twisted Knitters making?
Wow, you’ve set quite a goal for yourself! I’m sure you can do it, though, you seem to have so much energy!
YAY socks! I think I have finally picked out my first pattern for Socktober. I don’t know if I will need a second pattern.
Happy Socktober to you, too.
I am also trying to finish a second sock whose yarn is not making me excited. Race ya!
I think I want to start a Clapotis. I saw Cari’s the other night and fell in love with it.
Isn’t that a great book? I learned a lot about spinning and dyeing from that one. I’m not sure what I’m going to knit for the twisted knitters but I have already dyed up the fiber.
I’m doing Eunny’s Bayerische socks – they’re actually pretty cool, not nearly as hard as I thought…though, I’m still on the leg and haven’t started the heel yet…*gulp*
